Privacy Policy

Cadence is a leadership productivity tool centered on 1-on-1s. This policy explains what data we access, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We collect the minimum needed to prepare your meetings and we never sell your data.

What we collect

• Account: your name, email, password (hashed), language and timezone.
• Google Calendar (read-only): event metadata — titles, times, attendees — used to detect your recurring 1-on-1s. We do not modify your calendar.
• Slack (read-only): messages in direct messages and in channels you explicitly opt in, used to derive signals for the suggested agenda. We never post on your behalf.
• Profile photos of you and the people you meet, to display in the app.
• Product usage: which suggestions you accept, edit or discard, to measure quality.

How we use it

• Detect your 1-on-1s and prepare a relevant, sourced agenda.
• Track agreements made in meetings and their status.
• Send the agenda or agreements to the other person when you choose to (via Slack).
• Measure suggestion quality and cost to improve the product.

Who we share it with (sub-processors)

We share data only with the providers that make the product work:

• Google — calendar and profile data, under your OAuth authorization.
• Slack — message access, under your OAuth authorization.
• Anthropic (Claude API) — meeting signals are sent to generate agenda suggestions, under a zero-retention agreement: your content is not retained or used to train models.
• Cloud hosting and error monitoring providers, under data processing agreements.

Google API Limited Use

Cadence's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Retention & deletion

You can disconnect any source (Google, Slack) at any time in Settings; doing so revokes the tokens and removes the signals derived from that source. You can request deletion of your entire account by contacting us, and we will erase your data within 30 days.

Security

OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest. Access is restricted and transport is encrypted (HTTPS). We log only metadata — never the content of your messages or transcripts.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email, and the "last updated" date above will change.
